The K40 SF CB antenna was designed to be highly flexible under non-ideal situations.  The lightweight 1/4" fiberglass core is not only durable, but extremely strong.  The SF series CB antenna also has a high quality copper winding for maximum performance wrapped in either black or white military spec sheathing.  The K40 SF CB antenna is available in black or white and in lengths of 2', 3' & 4'.  SWR tuning is a breeze with the SF's tunable tip design.  This K40 CB antenna can be mounted in any 3/8" x 24 threaded stud mount such as the Firestik K4A.

Installation

Using any 3/8" x 24 threaded stud mount, the K40 SF CB antenna installs easily.  Remember after installation, make sure you tune your CB antenna using an SWR meter.  Tuning the antenna is the most important part of the installation to maximize the performance of the K40 SF.

Tuning

The K40 SF CB antenna has a tuneable tip for easy SWR tuning.  If the SWR is greater on Channel 40 than on Channel 1, then you have an electrically long antenna and need to make it smaller by screwing in the tip or removing it (if necessary).  If the SWR is greater on Channel 1 than on Channel 40, then you have a electrically short antenna and need to unscrew the tip (to make it longer) or you can add a spring or quick disconnect to make it longer.
